The aim of this pilot project is to obtain the heat contained in the water supply network for use in heating or cooling of sports facilities , improve air conditioning systems and to use this energy more efficiently.


The Commonwealth of the Pamplona District and the City of Ansoáin, in collaboration with CENER, have launched a pilot program for energy saving and efficiency of sports facilities Idaki of Ansoáin, which will use the power supply network project water for use in air conditioning, domestic hot water and heating swimming pool water.


The pioneering initiative in Spain will allow the use of the thermal energy available in the water supply network by recovering heat from the water supply system, replacing the use of fossil fuels; also Ansoáin City Council will undertake a comprehensive process of energy efficiency in their sports facilities.
